Dance
Crazy is 501c3 Charity made up of a group of local volunteer ballroom
dancers and 5 paid professional ballroom dance instructors that have organized after being
inspired by the achievements of the children
in the NY City ballroom dance program called
‘Dancing Classrooms’.
That program comes to life in the documentary called ‘Mad
Hot Ballroom’. Dance Crazy has
designed a ballroom dance program that is
similar to Dancing Classrooms, but the Dance
Crazy program has been modified in order
to fit with the resources available in the
Capital District area of upstate NY.
640 Children taught so far.....and counting!!
We are currently in our fourth year of operation. Thanks to the tremendous interest in and support for this program for children, this years 08-09 Dance Crazy program is in 2 new schools, 4 Alumni Schools, and has 210 fourth and fifth grade students learning our ballroom dance Syllabus.
